DonaldClaudia, thanks. Unfortunately we ate all of the posole. As a matter of fact, in one sitting, I left a little in my bowl and Becky couldn't let it go. She spooned the rest as if she was starving! It really turned out great.

JennDZ_The LeftoverQueenI love Posole! It is big out in Arizona, used in a lot of SW Native American dishes! YUM.

DonaldJenn - I am now a posole lover, too. I could see how it would be in the Native American cuisine due to the use of hominy. What I really like is that it is so versitile. I couldn't get over how many variations of this dish there are.

BenWow! I love pozole. In my parents' restaurant they made pozole every Friday and it was all gone by Saturday morning. This recipe is very close to the one I remember from my parents' restaurant. Great post :D

DonaldBen, thanks! This really was an incredible dish. It will have to be put into the rotation.

Would you be willing to share some an authentic recipe?

michelle @ Us vs. Foodposole is one of those things i've always wanted to learn how to make. that dish looks *incredible*. tagging this recipe for future use.

i usually used canned hominy when i use hominy at all, but i guess if your wife tells me to get dried, i'll have to get dried!
