sharonHappy Birthday/anniversary!:D

Strangely enough, I don't really like clams but LOVE clam chowder in any form - Manhattan or New England style. Yours looks delicious. Look at that bacon!

MelissaI'll keep that in mind in the future when I shop for clams (for chowder) at Whole Foods. And I, like you, definitely prefer New England over Manhattan and white sauce over red sauce with the pasta. I personally feel like seafood, particularly shellfish and mollusks, scream out for white sauce, not tomato-based sauce.

And Happy 1 Year! I am so lucky to have found you and I definitely appreciate that you are around. Good to see a new post from you, my friend!

JonnyDonald - Congrats on your anniversary and a chowder is the perfect way to celebrate, whether it's red or white sauce! Personally, I oscillate between the two. There's nothing so soothing in the winter as new england clam chowder, but in the summer, a good spicy fish stew is the bomb.
