Hey Mr. Orph! This ice cream cake looks delicious, and, yeah, I think chocolate and cinnamon is a traditional Mexican combination. I've always used this combo too though, and I'm from The ATL (smile). Well, actually Decatur...

Cheesecake custard? Why has no one told me that this is a thing? Absolute heaven! Actually, I can imagine sticking the whole thing in an icecream maker and turning into the most divine icecream!

Orange! Scented! Meringue! Oh, what a wonderful idea. This cake sounds absolutely glorious - I wonder if mini little ones would work - time to head over to the recipe.

@lacey: thanks for stopping by. ice cream cake is a thousand times better with homemade ice cream where you get to control the flavors.

@Duo: let me know when you guys are headed to the ATL. my kitchen is your kitchen! :)

OK. Um. Wow. So when either one of us in your home city, you'll make this again right? It's massively decadent! This beats our choco ice cream any day.

I LOVE the combination of orange and chocolate -- never would have considered orange and Mexican chocolate, though. Very interesting. Sounds delicious. I am a big fan of ice cream cakes, too. Even bad ice cream cakes always bring back good memories for me. Thanks for posting!

Grilled stuff? I love grilled stuff!

One of the great things about having a baby is buying whole milk yogurt. "It's for the baby. The baby." None of that 2% shit for me anymore!

Question: how did you keep the pasta from falling through the grill?

This dish was delish. Even the whole wheat pasta was good and not too starchy. And I always say everything taste better cooked on the grill. Yummy!

I just canned half a flat of blueberries that I got from the farmer's market. I turned one quart into pie filling, but the rest of them are preserved. Now I have a strong feeling that none of them will be eaten on toast, but all with a spoon instead.
